Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting - Sarasota or Tampa area (Relocation available)
The Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting is a key, highly visible member of the Principal Accounting Officer’s organization and will lead technical accounting and reporting consultations in a multi-industry setting at both a Corporate and Business Level. This key role is responsible for supporting/preparing SEC Filings (e.g. 10-Ks, 10-Qs, S-3/424Bs, and 8-Ks), Buy-Side Financial Analysis for Due Diligence, Purchase Accounting, New Accounting Standard Implementations, FCC systems support and Maintenance of Accounting Policies, Procedures, and Controls.
This role requires strong change agility and effective communication with various functional groups that include Corporate Accounting, Corporate FP&A, Business CFOs/Controllers, Tax and In-House Counsel.
Professional experience demonstrating meaningful and continued career progression indicative of a high-performing accounting professional.
4+ years of experience with a blend of industry and Big 4 public accounting experience preferred but flexible.
Big 4 Public Accounting experience executing audits on publicly traded companies and/or providing technical accounting and reporting services or due diligence support in a non-audit advisory capacity.
Active CPA license preferred.
Meaningful experience with auditing and/or preparing SEC filings.
Previous experience with purchase accounting desired but not required.
Highly motivated professional who desires working in dynamic environment that demands strong change agility and ability to multi-task.
Self-starter with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate on a cross-functional basis with other key departments including FP&A, Legal, Internal Audit, Treasury, Benefits, and Tax.
Preferred experience executing key buy-side due diligence activities that involves partnering with Business CFOs, Professional Service Firms, and Business Development leadership.
Strong modeling and or advanced excel skill set highly preferred.
