We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Wealth Planner, a position that offers outstanding opportunity for career growth. The Senior Wealth Planner’s primary focus will be managing client relationships and supervising and fostering the growth of staff. The Senior Wealth Planner will provide comprehensive wealth management advice to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Responsible for managing the planning aspect of client relationships and growing those relationships.
Identifying planning opportunities for clients and helping to spur actions to implement.
Designing, implementing and monitoring strategies to help clients achieve savings and/or retirement goals.
Developing and monitoring planning around client’s income tax situation, estate plan, charitable giving goals, education savings, insurance coverage and other planning needs for clients.
Performing primary review of financial plans and goal progress summaries.
Demonstrating the ability to discuss technical issues and related implications to clients and others within the firm in a concise and effective manner.
Ability to competently and confidently deliver sound advice to clients.
Providing supervision and fostering growth of staff.
Developing a thorough understanding of SHWM’s investment philosophy and strategies.
Building relationship with the client’s outside advisors, such as attorneys, CPAs and insurance brokers in order to implement wealth planning strategies.
Working effectively with standard planning and firm software applications.
Actively involved in the execution of the firm’s marketing plan.
Ability to perform independently with a high level of direct responsibility.
Delivering superior client service.
Preferred but Non-Essential Duties include:
Developing new client relationships via existing client referrals and local centers of influence.
Experience developing new business.
Serving as a mentor.
Skills and Experience Needed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or related field
CFP, CPA/PFS and/or CFA license
5+ years of experience in financial planning/wealth management
Outstanding communication skills
Strong presentation and writing skills
Understanding of and commitment to a first-class client approach
Highly motivated and self-starter
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of the firm
Must be a team player
